So you want to share your awesome story or guide with Vagabond Guide? Sweet! I’m glad you’re here!

If you’re anything like me, you can’t get enough of people’s amazing stories. I love them! I also love guides. A how to guide is a beautiful thing. I want you share these with not just me but the whole travel community! Share your story, guide, how-to, or maybe even you gear list.

I’m really hoping to get a flood of stories from you, the reader. That being said, I do have a few requirements.

Is related to travel or minimalism in some way
Shares a unique story or guide. Try and be original
Make sure that everyone can understand it. Rookies and travel veterans alike

Basically be original, don’t steal other people’s work, stick to a theme, be honest, and passionate. Pretty simple.

Fun Stuff

Now for the fun stuff. What are we looking for in topics?

Travel guides on a specific city
Travel guides on how to save money, get into an adventure, etc
Gear lists/Pack lists along with a write up of why you choose said items
Personal/life changing event that had to deal with travel
Minimalism related topics
How do you live a minimalistic life?
How did you save money for travel
Do you run an online business and travel full time?

These are just a few topics I pulled off the top of my head. I’m sure you’re much smarter than I am and have many more but you get the general idea. I’m always open to suggestions.

Writing Guidelines

These go along with the above requriements but are a bit more specific.

Follows standard writing rules of sentence structure, spelling, grammar, etc
Is clear, up front, and not convoluted with useless information
Includes at least one picture minimum of 350 x 350 pixels
Infringes on no copyrights of any kind. That includes both text and images
Needs to contain a title, main body text, an image, a writer summary, and a byline

It’s All About You

Why would you want to write for VBG? Simple. Exposure. We will link to your site in your byline and will put another link in the writer summary. In conjunction with those links you can put links in your article. Keep it clean and relevant. Don’t go overboard on linking. If you abuse this privilege, your article will not be accepted and any previous articles will be removed. Keep in mind that if the link is relevant to the subject you’re article is about, the more people will be inclined to follow the link.
