Good to hear a real first hand account! While I’ve never traveled with just a vest like this, I can only imagine it could be a bit of a pain. The concept is really neat but like you, not for me.

If it wasn’t for all my camera gear I could travel VERY light with just a small backpack.

I took a short trip to Seattle only using a Scottie vest and even when I had it packed up minimally, it was still bulky, and of course I had to wear it so it got hot. After that experience, my preference is a very small backpack since it is ultimately more versatile. I like the Scottie vests but I just think they are too heavy for hot environments.

I tried “Image It” app while travelling, images can be your best friend when you find yourself up against the language barrier in foreign lands

The subtle pinks are the first think i noticed (and look for in Central Oregon sunsets)
