Bachelor Recipe – Ramen Noodles

Lets get something straight here. I do know how to cook and I enjoy it a lot. I don’t however cook for people very often and most of the time it’s just me. Therefore, I have no desire to dirty a ton of dishes, drive to the store to get something I need, or make a ton of food that will get thrown away. This quick and easy meal is very tasty if you ask me and very bad for you. Two packages fills me up with a little left over and doesn’t make my kitchen an absolute disaster. You can also make this with pretty much what you have in your cupboards.

I was first shown how to make this from a friend back while I was in high school. It was a favorite after being slightly intoxicated. It’s also very easy on the pocketbook. For me, that is perfect since I’m in the process of basically selling 95% of my personal possessions and getting ready to move. I need to save every penny I can.

You will need:

  1. 2 Packages of Ramen Noodles
  2. Enough Soysauce
  3. Butter
  4. Water
  5. Pot (not that kind…a cooking pot)

Fill up your cooking pot with enough water to cover the 2 packages of noodles and put it on the stove.

Next, pour in enough soysauce to darken the water. Don’t be shy.

After the water/soysauce mix is boiling. Plop in your noodles and wait for them to get soft and soak in enough of the soysauce. They should be a darker brown color.

Drain the water. I use a for and hold back the noodles but feel free to use a strainer.

With the noodles back in the pot, put in a table spoon of butter. If you feel like being REALLY bad you can use 1.5-2 tablespoons.

Stir and if you would like, you can add in some extra soysauce at this time.

Dump those bad boys in a bowl and you are set!

SIDE NOTE: If you want to be crazy you can add some egg. While the water is boiling, crack an egg in the water and keep stirring.
