It’s 2012 and this is my first post of the year and I thought long and hard about what I should write about. Do I draw up a Year in Review post? Maybe list out my Resolutions? While I still may do those I figured I’d just get started and post a photo.
One of many goals for 2012 was to force myself to be more creative. A problem I’ve had over the past few months was feeling unmotivated and uninspired to create any kind of photographic art. I tire of my current surroundings as I’ve seen them since I was a youngin’.
Last night was my first attempt to force myself to go out and try and find beauty where I previously wasn’t able to see any. The following photo is of downtown Bend, Oregon. It was chilly, somewhere around 25F. And while I’m not totally in love with this photo, I figured I’d post it anyway. Something is better than nothing right?
I also shot a 10 second timelapse at the same intersection. I would have shot more probably but I wasn’t able to feel my fingers and toes anymore. I’ll be posting that in a few days. I’ll probably release the link on my Facebook page first, so if you haven’t yet be sure to “Like” us over there! VBG on Facebook

Hello! I'm Adam Mayfield and
I am the aurthor of this site. Currently I'm living a minimalist
lifestyle. I've sold almost all of possessions and have a travel addiction I can't seem to shake!
I totally love it! we are always most critical of our own work. Great Job Adam.
Thanks! Glad you like it. I’m not wild about it still but it’s growing on me. My plan is post something from every shoot. I want so badly to get back into shooting on a regular basis. Just have to force myself I suppose.
Thanks for the comment!!
